About "One-of-a-KIND Stories"
Previously titled "Clam Chowder for the Soul", One of a KIND Stories is an inspirational event for people of all ages. The event features a diverse group of speakers and musicians, who share their experiences and perform for guests. This year's One of a KIND Stories was organized by founder Brock Tully students from the Special Event Planning class at Langara College. The event includes a day of inspiring speakers, great performers, snacks and a light lunch. Proceeds go to the KindActs organization's Coin-Spiracy Program, a program that helps to counteract bullying and violence in schools.

Brock Tully is a man who has done it all: run in marathons, performed as a magician and juggler, written and performed music, coached basketball and football, counseled people in crisis, and penned eight books. In 1970, he climbed aboard his ten-speed bike and rode 17,000 kilometres across the United States and Mexico. He took his bike-riding further in 2000, riding 18,000 kilometres through North America with his Cycling for Kindness team, in order to raise awareness about the importance of kindness. Brock also co-founded the "Clam Chowder for the Soul" and "Porridge for the Soul" events. Today, he does plenty of work with the organization KindActs, which runs the Kindness Rocks concerts and the Coin-Spiracy program. |
